About

I grew up in North Carolina and set most of my fiction there. I have a BA from North Carolina State University and an MA from Wake Forest University, both in English. I’ve taught English at Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Virginia (where I also coached the baseball team); the College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, North Carolina; and the State University of New York Agricultural and Technical College at Alfred, New York. I’ve also worked as a contract specialist and an industrial specialist at the US Army Tank, Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren, Michigan. Now retired, at least from gainful employment, I live with my wife Sharon and our cat Fonzie in the hills just north of Elmira, New York. Sharon and I have two adult children.
